Location: Leatherhead, United Kingdom; hybrid schedule with 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home

What you will do
- Own the UK technical direction for the Defence Nuclear Technology Solutions Division in alignment with organisational strategy and customer mission needs.
- Lead technical strategy, architecture, design reviews, technical risk management, and delivery assurance across priority programmes and bids.
- Identify and apply emerging technologies including AI/ML, cyber resilience, digital engineering, and secure cloud.
- Support major bids, captures, customer engagements, and stakeholder relationships as a senior technical authority.
- Set technical standards and governance while assuring compliance with defence, cybersecurity, export-control, and classified-system requirements.
- Mentor principal- and fellow-level technologists and strengthen technical leadership across the division.
Requirements
- Highly experienced technical leadership background in defence, security, nuclear, or government sectors.
- Experience owning technical strategy, architecture, assurance, and delivery for complex, high-value programmes.
- Experience with UK MOD, NATO, and/or Five Eyes programmes and multinational interoperability.
- Expertise in secure systems architecture, cyber operations, digital engineering, and mission-critical platforms.
- Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- SC Clearance required; restrictions relating to UK residency and nationality apply.
Nice to have
- Chartered Engineer, Chartered Scientist, or Chartered IT Professional status.
- Master's degree in a relevant technical discipline.
- Experience with NATO STANAGs and multinational defence interoperability standards.
