TL;DR
Software Architect (Geospatial): Creating the core architecture for secure geospatial and satellite data products with an accent on performance, security, reliability, and compliance. Focus on modeling complex system architectures with MBSE, establishing end-to-end requirements traceability, and evolving microservices or service-oriented systems for government and MOD ISR solutions.
Location: Hybrid role based in Guildford or Newcastle upon Tyne, United Kingdom. Regular UK travel and infrequent worldwide travel are required.

What you will do
- Design robust architectures for geospatial solutions across the full product and service lifecycle.
- Translate business and customer goals into designs that balance performance, security, reliability, and compliance.
- Establish traceability from requirements to solution design using structured documentation and design rationale.
- Model complex system architectures with MBSE approaches, including SysML and UML.
- Engage stakeholders to shape architectural vision and identify relevant system information.
- Design for component reuse, efficiency, and long-term system evolution in an Agile Scrum environment.
Requirements
- Professional experience designing and owning architectures for complex systems.
- Experience with shared services, service-oriented, or microservices environments.
- Experience working under security, cybersecurity, reliability, and compliance constraints.
- Ability to consider architecture patterns, system evolution, integration, and the full software lifecycle.
- Eligibility to gain SC Security Clearance.
- Willingness to undertake regular UK travel and infrequent worldwide travel.

- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services.
