Systems Architect (Geospatial Software)

Location: Guildford or Newcastle upon Tyne, United Kingdom; hybrid working. Regular UK travel and infrequent worldwide travel are required.

What you will do

• Translate and document high-level requirements into robust architectures for secure geospatial solutions.
• Optimize and update historic architectures while designing solutions that can evolve to meet future demands.
• Use MBSE modelling to establish end-to-end traceability from requirements through solution design.
• Drive the architectural vision by engaging with stakeholders and documenting key system information.
• Design for security, scalability, efficiency, component reuse, reliability, and compliance.
• Collaborate in an Agile Scrum team with testers, developers, lead engineers, project managers, and product owners.

Requirements

• Strong experience designing and owning architectures for complex systems in shared-services, service-oriented, or microservices environments.
• Experience working with security, cybersecurity, reliability, and compliance constraints.
• Experience modelling complex architectures with MBSE.
• Ability to translate high-level requirements into detailed lower-level requirements.
• Eligibility to gain SC Security Clearance.
