Billing Associate (Finance, AI)

What you will do

• Manage finance onboarding for new customers, including billing setup, Direct Debit mandates, and customer information.
• Support customer termination and churn processes, including termination fee calculations and coordination with Credit Control.
• Review first invoices, investigate billing discrepancies, and resolve shipping billing queries.
• Perform billing reconciliations, investigate exceptions, and maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Support the implementation and testing of billing tools that consolidate data and automate manual processes.
• Contribute to automation and AI-driven workflows across billing, reconciliations, and exception identification.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in Billing, Accounts Receivable, Finance Operations, or a similar role.
• Strong Excel skills and confidence working with large datasets.
• Strong numerical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to investigate discrepancies through to resolution.
• Good organisational and communication skills, with the ability to work independently.
• Comfort working in a rapidly changing environment, navigating ambiguity, and taking ownership.
• Contract engagement for a 12-month fixed-term contract.

Nice to have

• Experience with transactional or usage-based billing.
• Interest in systems, automation, and applying AI to Finance operations.
