Field Service Engineer (Medical Equipment)

Location: Home based in Great Britain, with field travel within the UK and training travel to Germany

What you will do

• Install, commission, maintain, service, and upgrade DR X-ray imaging equipment.
• Provide technical support and communicate effectively with customers, colleagues, and third-party trades.
• Diagnose faults and manage corrective actions, installations, and preventative maintenance in the field.
• Prepare accurate service reports and maintain health and safety compliance records.
• Manage equipment and parts returns in line with ISO and WEEE procedures.
• Work independently and as part of installation and service teams, including travel and periods away from home.

Requirements

• Degree, HND, or equivalent qualification in engineering or electronics; ICT or computer science qualifications or relevant apprenticeship experience are also suitable.
• Experience working safely with electromechanical systems is essential.
• Basic electronics fault finding to component level.
• Understanding of networking and remote diagnosis software systems.
• Analytical thinking, attention to detail, initiative, and a methodical approach to problem-solving.
• Willingness to travel within the UK and to Germany for hands-on product training.
