Geospatial Solution Architect (GIS)

What you will do

• Provide technical leadership and architectural oversight for enterprise geospatial platforms.
• Design and support cloud-native and hybrid GIS architectures using AWS, Azure, GCC, or equivalent platforms.
• Plan and execute GIS platform upgrades, cloud migrations, infrastructure modernization, disaster recovery exercises, and security initiatives.
• Design integrations using REST APIs, web services, SFTP, authentication, identity management, and system-to-system connections.
• Manage geospatial data architectures, including geodatabases, spatial data models, metadata, governance, and data lifecycles.
• Lead technical assessments, troubleshooting, solution reviews, vendor coordination, and operational readiness activities.

Requirements

• Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Geomatics, GIS, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of experience as a Technical Lead, GIS Solution Architect, GIS Engineer, or equivalent.
• Experience delivering enterprise GIS projects across requirements analysis, architecture, implementation, testing, migration, deployment, and operations.
• Strong knowledge of ArcGIS Enterprise, including Portal for ArcGIS, ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Data Store, ArcGIS Web Adaptor, Experience Builder, Dashboards, ArcGIS Online, and ArcGIS Pro.
• Experience supporting production-critical platforms with high availability, security, monitoring, backup, disaster recovery, and performance optimization.
• Strong understanding of government security, compliance, governance, stakeholder management, and technical communication.

Nice to have

• ArcGIS Enterprise administration and troubleshooting experience.
• Experience with ArcGIS Enterprise on AWS or GCC+ environments and geospatial cloud transformation.
• Exposure to government geospatial platforms, inter-agency data sharing, and multi-agency services.
• Experience with Python, ArcPy, geoprocessing workflows, GIS automation, WOG AD, IAM, SSO, and API security.
