Special Operations Manager UK (Logistics)

Location: Onsite in Stoke-on-Trent, England, United Kingdom; based in or willing to relocate to the Stoke-on-Trent area.

Salary: £50,497–£88,955 depending on level.

What you will do

• Own the UK fulfilment operation from goods receipt through picking, packing, and carrier handover.
• Manage the daily operational relationship with the 3PL partner, including reviews, audits, performance meetings, and escalations.
• Monitor KPIs, merchant satisfaction, productivity, and cost efficiency while providing evidence for partner cost and invoice discussions.
• Conduct Gemba walks, lead root-cause and corrective-action analysis, and own critical SEV1 escalations through resolution.
• Train and enable partner teams, support merchant onboarding and WMS rollouts, and deliver at least one measurable improvement initiative per quarter.
• Define site OKRs and collaborate with Merchant Care, Account Management, Growth, and Product to translate merchant needs into operational improvements.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in fulfilment, warehousing, logistics, supply chain, or a fast-growing startup, including experience in a live operation.
• Experience owning an operational relationship with a 3PL, carrier, or other external partner.
• Strong analytical skills, including building models, using operational data, and quantifying improvement impact.
• Understanding of contracts, SLAs, cost drivers, and the distinction between operational and commercial problems.
• Experience working with multicultural, shift-based teams and managing conflicting priorities.
• Fluent English and willingness to work onsite in Stoke-on-Trent; relocation to the area is supported as a candidate requirement.
