What you will do

• Review, analyze, and reconcile compensation data to ensure accurate commission payments.
• Use advanced Excel to research discrepancies, validate data, identify trends, and support accurate outcomes.
• Research and resolve complex compensation inquiries by gathering information and determining appropriate solutions.
• Identify root causes of recurring issues and recommend improvements to compensation workflows.
• Collaborate with financial advisors, vendors, internal business partners, and leadership.
• Share data-driven insights and provide guidance on complex or non-routine compensation items.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of advanced Microsoft Excel experience, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data reconciliation, reporting, trend analysis, or work with large datasets.
• At least 1 year of professional analytical, operational, problem-solving, or data-driven experience in a business environment.
• Strong analytical, critical-thinking, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to independently investigate complex issues, identify root causes, and drive resolutions to completion.
• Must be able to pass a non-registered fingerprint background check to qualify as a fingerprinted person under FINRA.

Nice to have

• Experience in a broker-dealer, RIA, financial services, compensation, commissions, payroll, accounting, or another regulated operational environment.
• Experience reviewing, reconciling, and validating compensation, payment, or financial data.
• Experience supporting peers or business partners with complex processing and research questions.
