Architect, Core Platforms

What you will do

• Lead the architecture and evolution of core platforms for identity resolution, data processing, publishing, and integrations.
• Write and review production-quality code, create reference implementations and proof-of-concepts, and unblock complex engineering problems.
• Define platform modernization strategies and roadmaps with engineering, product, data, SRE, and architecture stakeholders.
• Evaluate trade-offs involving reliability, scalability, latency, consistency, delivery timelines, data quality, and cost.
• Drive engineering standards, tooling, operational readiness, and maintainable architecture across platform teams.
• Mentor senior engineers and technical leads while influencing technical and delivery decisions.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience with complex, distributed, data-intensive systems.
• Hands-on programming experience in Java, Python, or Scala, including production code, design reviews, testing, and delivery pipelines.
• Strong experience with cloud-native services, distributed systems, event-driven and batch processing, observability, resiliency, data consistency, and cost optimization.
• Experience delivering high-volume transactional APIs and large-scale data-processing platforms; identity resolution or entity-resolution experience is highly desirable.
• Working knowledge of cloud operations in multi-region environments and modern software delivery practices, including CI/CD, automated testing, infrastructure as code, secure coding, and incident learning.

Nice to have

• Google Cloud experience.
• Experience with Spark, Hadoop/YARN, Airflow, Bigtable, Elasticsearch/OpenSearch, Redis, Snowflake, Databricks, Kafka, Pulsar, or equivalent technologies.
• Experience guiding legacy-modernization migrations or technology consolidations while maintaining customer continuity.
