Cost Engineer, Data Center IT Fit-Out

What you will do

• Develop and maintain project cost reports, forecasts, budgets, cash flow reports, and financial updates.
• Monitor actual costs, committed spend, accruals, variances, and cost allocation across procurement, logistics, installation, deployment, and integration workstreams.
• Track purchase orders, vendor quotations, invoices, payment applications, freight costs, taxes, duties, long-lead items, and project commitments.
• Assess the commercial impact of change requests, variation orders, technical revisions, claims, and supply chain risks.
• Coordinate with project management, procurement, logistics, deployment, finance teams, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Support contract administration, vendor compliance, payment milestone tracking, invoice reconciliation, and project delivery within the approved budget.

Requirements

• 5–10 years of experience in cost engineering, quantity surveying, project controls, commercial management, or related project cost functions.
• Experience in construction, infrastructure, technology, engineering, or fit-out projects.
• Strong experience in budgeting, forecasting, cost tracking, financial reporting, vendor cost management, procurement tracking, and change management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with ERP or project management systems such as Procore, MS Project, or NetSuite.
• Strong analytical, commercial, communication, reporting, presentation, and stakeholder coordination skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines with strong attention to detail and financial accuracy.

Nice to have

• Experience in data center, mission-critical, or IT infrastructure projects.
• Understanding of compute, server, storage, and network environments.
• Familiarity with hardware procurement and deployment lifecycles.
• Experience with project cost tracking, procurement, and reporting tools.
