Etch Equipment Engineer Intern - Summer 2027

What you will do

• Support the Front End Operations and Etch Equipment Engineering organizations.
• Work on projects to improve mean time between failures, mean time to repair, equipment efficiency, capacity, cycle time, quality, and cost.
• Participate in fab-to-fab standardization, tool-to-tool matching, cost reduction, defect reduction, and throughput improvement initiatives.
• Develop and track objective data-based metrics aligned with department goals.
• Own the research, analysis, and presentation of one high-business-impact project to fab leadership.

Requirements

• Working toward a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, Physics, or a related field.
• Strong data analysis, teamwork, and communication skills.
• Solid knowledge of statistical process control and its use in troubleshooting and improvement.
• Aptitude and willingness to learn new skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
• Must be returning to school or graduating at the conclusion of the summer internship; candidates graduating before July 2027 should apply for entry-level full-time roles.
