Summer 2027 Industrial Engineering Intern - Bachelor's (Santa Clara, CA)

Location: Onsite in Santa Clara, California during the internship period.

What you will do

• Support engineering and operations teams with data collection, analysis, reporting, and ad-hoc requests.
• Create and maintain reports, presentations, documentation, executive-level visual summaries, and status updates.
• Analyze operational and engineering data to identify trends and recommend process improvements.
• Develop or enhance simple Python scripts to automate repetitive data processing and reporting.
• Document business processes, workflows, and standard operating procedures.
• Organize project data, track action items, and collaborate with cross-functional teams on continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint through coursework, projects, internships, or extracurricular activities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Basic programming knowledge in Python and SQL.
• Basic AI prompt engineering skills and experience with GenAI tools such as Copilot, Claude, or ChatGPT.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Interest in data analysis, process improvement, and engineering operations; experience with engineering, manufacturing, or operations-related data.
• Ability to work onsite in Santa Clara, California during the internship period.

Nice to have

• Minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Familiarity with Databricks, Power BI, or Tableau.
• Knowledge of data visualization best practices and process improvement methodologies.
