TL;DR
Production Engineer - First Line Support (Manufacturing): Maintaining production flow for complex lithography systems by troubleshooting technical issues, supporting process control, and driving manufacturing improvements with an accent on real-time issue resolution, statistical process monitoring, and cross-functional collaboration. Focus on analyzing recurring production challenges, documenting investigations, and building long-term solutions that reduce downtime and improve product quality.

Location: Wilton, Connecticut, United States; onsite cleanroom production environment. Schedule: CWW D2 shift, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and every other Wednesday, 6:00 AM–6:00 PM.

What you will do

  • Troubleshoot production issues in real time to reduce downtime and maintain output.
  • Analyze recurring technical challenges and contribute to long-term manufacturing solutions.
  • Support process control through statistical process monitoring and manufacturing data analysis.
  • Document technical issues, investigations, resolutions, test plans, and process instructions.
  • Escalate complex issues and collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and quality teams.
  • Participate in material and production reviews and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, mechatronics engineering, or a related field, with at least two years of production engineering or manufacturing experience; or a master’s degree with production-environment internship experience.
  • Experience troubleshooting mechanical or electromechanical systems.
  • Ability to apply structured troubleshooting and problem-solving techniques.
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, communicate technical information clearly, and document findings accurately.
  • Must be legally authorized to access controlled technology under United States Export Administration Regulations before starting work.
  • Ability to work the specified CWW D2 shift schedule in a cleanroom production environment, with potential exposure to strong magnetic fields, high voltage, and high currents.

Nice to have

  • Experience with statistical process control methodologies and manufacturing data.
  • Experience creating technical documentation, test plans, or process instructions.
