TL;DR
Engineering Test I - 1st Shift (Semiconductor Manufacturing): Designing, validating, and optimizing electrical and mechanical manufacturing test solutions with an accent on automated test equipment, instrumentation, data analysis, and production reliability. Focus on debugging system-level issues, improving test coverage and throughput, and supporting new product introduction in semiconductor equipment manufacturing.

Location: Beverly, Massachusetts, United States — 100% onsite. First shift, Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.; travel up to 25% for contract manufacturing and supply chain support.

U.S. base salary: $66,565.20–$99,847.80 per year, plus eligibility for a team incentive bonus and benefits for regular employees working 20 or more hours per week.

What you will do

  • Design, develop, validate, and optimize electrical and mechanical manufacturing test solutions, including automated test equipment, fixtures, and tooling.
  • Debug test equipment, instrumentation interfaces, sensors, and PCBA-level hardware, driving root causes through resolution.
  • Analyze test data with statistical and data-driven methods to identify trends, systemic issues, and process improvements.
  • Define test strategies and requirements with Design Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Process Engineering.
  • Support new product introduction, design for testability, production readiness, and improvements in test coverage, reliability, cycle time, and throughput.
  • Maintain test specifications, validation plans, procedures, and engineering reports; mentor interns, co-ops, technicians, and coordinate small to medium-sized projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Mechanical, or Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 0–2 years of relevant experience in test development, manufacturing, or a related area.
  • Experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks, Creo, or AutoCAD; electrical schematics, PCB design, and debugging.
  • Hands-on experience with lab instrumentation, including NI DAQ, NI PXI, DMMs, oscilloscopes, DAQs, and signal analyzers.
  • Experience designing and integrating automated test systems and fixtures, with data analysis using Excel, Minitab, Python, MATLAB, or similar tools.
  • Knowledge of statistical methods, process control, fabrication tools, machining, 3D printing, and precision measurement; strong problem-solving and collaboration skills.
