Summer 2027 Process Engineering Internship (PCB Manufacturing)

Location: Sterling, Virginia, United States; onsite manufacturing environment

Salary: $41,454–$65,524 per year, with an annual or quarterly bonus potentially applicable and possible shift premiums for alternative shifts.

What you will do

• Implement manufacturing process improvements, including automation and robotics integration.
• Design, lay out, and improve assigned processes while monitoring performance and developing solutions to technical issues.
• Apply structured engineering methods to improve process control, yields, capacity, and technology capabilities.
• Create and update work instructions, training guides, and certification tests.
• Compare manufacturing practices with industry benchmarks and propose improvements based on current standards.
• Present project updates to local leadership and participate in design reviews, workshops, and trade shows.

Requirements

• Current college junior pursuing a bachelor's degree in engineering.
• Experience applying engineering concepts to solve problems; previous internship experience is desired.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of project management, structured problem solving, data-based decision-making, and statistical tools for experiment design and analysis.
• Strong verbal, written, presentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Must comply with US export-control requirements; access to ITAR products and related technical data is restricted to US Citizens and US Permanent Residents.
