Microcontrollers System Engineering Intern (AI/ML)

What you will do

• Create a project demonstrating the capabilities of NXP microprocessors for artificial intelligence and machine learning, with a focus on time series and anomaly detection.
• Develop firmware, proofs of concept, applications, demos, and drivers.
• Build innovative use-case demonstrators for security and connectivity applications.
• Conduct technical feasibility studies and create reference designs.
• Review reference manuals and data sheets, and contribute to developer guides, application notes, white papers, and ease-of-use materials.
• Manage the project from conception and planning through execution, final product delivery, and presentation to leadership.

Requirements

• Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science.
• Proficiency in C is required.
• Must return to school or graduate at the conclusion of the summer 2027 internship.
• Experience with embedded systems-on-chip, especially ARM Cortex architecture, is valuable.
• Experience with embedded software development and debugging, operating systems, device drivers, or connectivity stacks such as 802.15.4, BLE, Thread, or Zigbee is valuable.
• Technical writing experience for application notes, white papers, user guides, or reference manuals is valuable.
