Software Engineering Internship (Embedded Systems)

Location: Los Angeles, CA, USA; in-person collaboration at the Playa Vista office.

What you will do

• Develop and improve software that controls satellites.
• Write embedded software for microcontroller devices used in space.
• Build software for new hardware components used in future spacecraft.
• Contribute to simulations and user interfaces for satellite systems.
• Complete an assigned project with guidance from a dedicated mentor.

Requirements

• Proficiency in C or C++.
• Currently pursuing a BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
• Graduating in Fall 2027 or Spring 2028.
• Availability for a 10–12 week internship; spring interns should be able to pause or adjust academic commitments during the program.
