Observability Engineer

Location: Makati City, Philippines; hybrid and flexible working available.

What you will do

• Design and deploy observability stacks covering logging, metrics, monitoring, alerting, and tracing for cloud environments.
• Integrate observability tools with cloud services and infrastructure to provide comprehensive system visibility.
• Automate observability infrastructure provisioning and deployment with Terraform.
• Define monitoring and alerting standards and implement end-to-end tracking for workload performance, availability, and reliability.
• Develop automated alerts for proactive issue identification and resolution.
• Collaborate with DevOps, SRE, application development teams, and stakeholders on observability strategy and technical decision-making.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in observability, on-premises and cloud infrastructure, or related fields.
• Experience with infrastructure troubleshooting, infrastructure as code, Terraform, and Python.
• Knowledge of AWS, Azure, OCI, or GCP and their observability capabilities.
• Experience with Prometheus, Alertmanager, Grafana, Loki, PagerDuty, Kubernetes, and container platforms.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools such as Jenkins and GitLab/GitHub, plus strong communication and problem-solving skills.
