Field Service Engineer (Semiconductor Equipment)

Location: Kumamoto, Japan; on-site support required

What you will do

• Provide first-line operational support and troubleshoot hirify.global semiconductor lithography systems.
• Perform repairs, servicing, and preventive maintenance across mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, and optical systems.
• Monitor equipment performance and maintain agreed customer commitments.
• Escalate complex technical issues to higher-level support when required.
• Provide on-site support under a 24/7 coverage model, including shift and on-call duties.
• Work inside a cleanroom for more than 60% of working time while handling mechanical and electrical components.

Requirements

• Ability to work in a cleanroom environment for extended periods.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Willingness to work 12-hour day or night shifts and respond to on-call duties, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Effective communication in Japanese with customers.
