TL;DR
Hosting Service Owner (Azure): Owning and evolving on-premise and Azure hosting services covering compute, storage, virtualisation, backup, and cloud platforms with an accent on resilience, security, governance, and cost optimisation. Focus on managing hybrid infrastructure lifecycle, enforcing Azure policy and configuration standards, leading major incidents, and driving service improvement across multi-vendor environments.
Location: Pune, India; onsite, permanent full-time position.

What you will do
- Own the full lifecycle, strategy, roadmap, and service catalogue for on-premise and Azure hosting services.
- Oversee compute, storage, virtualisation, backup, datacentre platforms, Azure landing zones, networking, and platform services.
- Manage capacity, performance, resilience, patching, firmware, hardware lifecycle, upgrades, and configuration baselines.
- Enforce Azure governance, including RBAC, tagging, Azure Policy, monitoring, cost optimisation, security hygiene, and resource remediation.
- Lead hosting-related major incidents, release processes, service reviews, operational reporting, and continuous improvement.
- Manage vendors and collaborate with architects, cloud engineers, security teams, application owners, project managers, and leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, cloud computing, or infrastructure engineering.
- 5–8+ years of experience in infrastructure, systems engineering, or hosting operations.
- Strong experience with VMware or Hyper-V, physical servers, SAN/NAS storage, backup and recovery infrastructure.
- Hands-on Azure experience with virtual machines, storage accounts, virtual networks, Azure Backup, Site Recovery, resource groups, RBAC, and Azure Policy.
- Experience with hybrid identity, Azure landing zones, governance, patching, security hardening, configuration baselines, technical debt, and configuration drift.
- Experience owning technical services, managing incidents and changes, defining SLAs and KPIs, maintaining CMDB data, and coordinating MSPs, cloud providers, hardware vendors, and datacentre partners.
Nice to have
- Postgraduate qualification in cloud architecture, cybersecurity, or IT management.
- ITIL 4 Foundation certification.
- Azure Administrator AZ-104, Windows Server Hybrid Administrator AZ-800/801, VMware VCP-DCV, Azure Solutions Architect Expert AZ-305, Security+, or ISO 27001 Foundation certification.
