TL;DR
Network Engineer (Enterprise Networking): Designing, deploying, and operating Copart's global enterprise network infrastructure across data centers, remote offices, and critical business services with an accent on Cisco platforms, Fortinet SD-WAN, routing, switching, security, and resilient network design. Focus on leading network migrations and upgrades, troubleshooting complex incidents, improving automation and observability, and mentoring engineers.

What you will do
- Design, deploy, operate, and continuously improve enterprise network infrastructure across global data centers and remote offices.
- Own network projects from planning and technical design through implementation, validation, documentation, and operational handoff.
- Lead implementations, upgrades, migrations, maintenance activities, and cross-functional technical initiatives with minimal business impact.
- Support and optimize the global WAN using Fortinet SD-WAN, site-to-site VPN, and point-to-point connectivity.
- Monitor network health, troubleshoot complex infrastructure and application incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
- Review network designs and changes, maintain engineering standards and documentation, mentor junior engineers, and participate in an on-call rotation.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in network engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Extensive experience designing, implementing, and troubleshooting Layer 2 and Layer 3 enterprise networks using Cisco Catalyst and Nexus platforms.
- Experience with enterprise security platforms such as Fortinet, Cisco Firepower/ASA, Palo Alto, or equivalent.
- Knowledge of OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, VRF, VLANs, STP, LACP/EtherChannel, VPC, switch stacking, ACLs, NAT, VPNs, TACACS+, and Cisco ISE or equivalent.
- Experience with high-availability network design and enterprise data center networking.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, collaboration, project leadership, and mentoring skills; flexibility for on-call and occasional off-hours work.
Nice to have
- CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent experience.
- Linux/Unix, Python, Ansible, APIs, or network automation experience.
- AI-assisted engineering, agentic workflows, enterprise monitoring, observability, configuration management, or A10 load balancer experience.
