Shipping & Logistics Coordinator

Location: Melbourne CBD, Australia; onsite at a GMP R&D facility. Candidates must be eligible to work in Australia or New Zealand and already have work rights or an appropriate working visa.

What you will do

• Coordinate routine and ad-hoc domestic and international shipments of raw materials, pharmaceutical products, samples, reagents, cell banks, and related materials.
• Arrange pre-packing, packing, transport bookings, courier coordination, delivery timelines, and estimated arrival updates.
• Manage GxP and non-GxP shipments, including validated temperature-controlled cold-chain handling and dangerous goods requirements.
• Maintain inventory records, receive materials in SAP, support stocktaking, document purchase order non-conformances, and manage warehouse consumables.
• Check transport providers, support GMP transit storage and distribution activities, and maintain clean and safe warehouse and loading-bay operations.
• Support export trade compliance, IATA documentation, logistics forecasting, waste collection, and logistics KPI reporting.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in a similar shipping, warehouse, inventory, or logistics coordination role.
• Qualifications in supply chain, inventory management, logistics, or a related field.
• Previous GMP experience and knowledge of GMP, GDP, and GWP requirements in warehouse operations.
• Experience with distribution and warehousing, preferably in manufacturing or a related environment.
• Familiarity with SAP, Ariba, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook, with strong documentation and data-entry skills.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities, work independently, collaborate cross-functionally, solve problems, and manually handle goods weighing approximately 10–15 kg.

Nice to have

• Experience with export trade compliance, Trusted Trader or Known Consignor Programs, and IATA forms.
• Experience with pharmaceutical materials, cold-chain logistics, dangerous goods, or validated temperature management.
