Fire Protection Design Engineer

Location: Seoul, South Korea; hybrid work opportunity available.

What you will do

• Design fire fighting systems for buildings and industrial plants, including sprinklers, standpipes, foam, gaseous suppression, and water spray or deluge systems.
• Design fire alarm, detection, notification, emergency voice communication, and egress signage and lighting systems.
• Prepare design documentation in accordance with Korea fire codes, NFPA standards, and other applicable requirements.
• Coordinate fire protection designs with architecture, electrical, civil, HVAC, mechanical, structural, and other disciplines.
• Develop 3D building models and fire protection facility libraries using Revit and Navisworks.
• Review BIM interfaces, eliminate design clashes, perform quantity take-offs, and improve construction drawing quality.

Requirements

• 1+ years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher; associate degree holders may also apply.
• Experience or knowledge in fire protection engineering and system design.
• Ability to work with multidisciplinary project teams and applicable fire protection codes and standards.

Nice to have

• Engineering degree specialization.
• English or another foreign language proficiency, preferably with experience on overseas or international projects.
• Firefighting Equipment Technician Certification in the mechanical field.
• Firefighting Equipment Technician Certification in the electrical field.
