Principal Social & Stakeholder Consultant

Location: Brisbane, Queensland, Australia; the role is based in the Brisbane office and includes travel to engage directly with stakeholders.

What you will do

• Identify business development opportunities, build client relationships, and contribute to or lead proposals.
• Plan, manage, and deliver meaningful stakeholder engagement activities.
• Advise clients on regulatory and approvals processes.
• Guide clients through complex stakeholder and regulatory environments.
• Scope consulting work, manage client expectations, and support commercial outcomes.
• Travel, engage directly with stakeholders, and facilitate open, constructive conversations.

Requirements

• Relevant tertiary qualifications, ideally in social science or social planning.
• 15+ years of experience in stakeholder engagement planning and implementation.
• Strong consulting, commercial, and business development capabilities.
• Ability to manage stakeholder engagement activities and client relationships.
• Previous project management experience.

Nice to have

• Experience in social impact assessment and management planning.
• Knowledge of and experience with cultural heritage and Traditional Owner engagement.
