Engineering Manager (Ruby/Python/.NET)

What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and develop engineers while maintaining high standards for technical quality, delivery, and stakeholder satisfaction.
• Set architectural and technology direction across Ruby, Python, and .NET services.
• Stay hands-on through code reviews, architectural guidance, and debugging during critical incidents.
• Define 12–24 month domain strategies, translate them into team priorities, and communicate the plan to stakeholders.
• Partner with product, business, and engineering teams to turn strategy into actionable execution plans.
• Drive capacity planning, scope decisions, hiring, retention, and adoption of AI-assisted development tools.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience across production systems.
• 3+ years of engineering management experience delivering business-impactful work.
• Strong technical depth in Ruby on Rails, Python/FastAPI, or C#/.NET, with the ability to work across the other stacks.
• Experience setting technical strategy and connecting it to team execution.
• Proven ability to attract, retain, and develop engineering talent.
• Active use of AI-powered development tools and experience driving their adoption on a team.

Nice to have

• Experience managing distributed teams across onshore and offshore locations.
• Background in ticketing, marketplaces, e-commerce, or high-transaction consumer platforms.
• Experience leading an acquisition, platform consolidation, or major system migration.
