Mid-Level Software Engineer (Ruby/Rails)

hirify.global is a private equity-backed technology company providing B2B marketplace and SaaS platforms for live-event ticket distribution and sales fulfillment.

What you will do

• Build and maintain Ruby on Rails and Hanami services for the B2B marketplace, ticketing platform, and partner-facing APIs.
• Own well-scoped features from design and code review through production release.
• Write RSpec tests and support test-driven development and continuous integration.
• Debug production issues using logs, metrics, Rails console access, and observability tools.
• Develop efficient ActiveRecord queries and safe database migrations, including background processing with Sidekiq.
• Review pull requests and use Claude Code, Copilot, and other AI tooling for scaffolding, testing, and debugging.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of production software engineering experience, including 1–2 years with Ruby on Rails.
• Experience writing and debugging ActiveRecord queries, database migrations, and background jobs.
• Solid knowledge of RSpec and test-driven development.
• Working knowledge of REST APIs and relational databases.
• Genuine day-to-day experience using AI engineering tools.

Nice to have

• Experience with Hanami or another Ruby framework beyond Rails.
• Familiarity with Sidekiq, Redis, or Kafka.
• Interest in ticketing, marketplaces, or high-transaction consumer platforms.
