Senior Software Engineer (Ruby/Rails)

hirify.global provides an end-to-end technology platform for live event ticket distribution, marketplace operations, and ticket sales fulfillment.

What you will do

• Lead technical delivery of initiatives from planning through launch in partnership with product and engineering leadership.
• Build and migrate complex Ruby on Rails and Hanami services, including the hardest technical components.
• Shape service architecture, document design decisions, and communicate technical tradeoffs.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through pairing, code review, and guidance on AI tooling.
• Build internal AI tooling, prompt patterns, and agentic workflows for engineering productivity.
• Own code quality and production reliability through reviews, on-call incident response, and postmortems.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building production software with strong Ruby on Rails expertise.
• Ability to make and document architectural decisions in Rails or Hanami codebases.
• Strong backend depth in API design or distributed Ruby services.
• Experience mentoring engineers and helping teammates develop.
• Fluent use of AI tooling across design, coding, testing, debugging, review, and documentation.

Nice to have

• Experience with Hanami, Sidekiq, RSpec at scale, and Kafka-backed event pipelines.
• Experience with marketplace, ticketing, e-commerce, or two-sided platform environments.
• Familiarity with Datadog, Grafana, Kibana, Airbrake, Sentry, OpsGenie, or comparable production tools.
