Senior Fire Protection Design Engineer (BIM)

Location: Seoul, South Korea; hybrid work opportunity available

hirify.global is an international fire protection engineering and safety consulting firm providing design, risk analysis, security, emergency management, and related engineering services.

What you will do

• Design fire fighting systems for buildings and industrial plants, including sprinklers, standpipes, foam, gaseous suppression, water spray, and deluge systems.
• Design fire alarm, detection, notification, emergency voice communication, egress signage, and emergency lighting systems.
• Prepare engineering and design documents in accordance with Korean fire codes, NFPA standards, and other applicable requirements.
• Develop 3D building models and fire protection facility libraries using Revit and Navisworks.
• Coordinate fire protection interfaces with architecture, MEP, structural, civil, HVAC, and electrical disciplines.
• Perform BIM-based quantity take-offs and improve construction drawing quality while proactively resolving design clashes.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher; associate degree holders may also apply.
• Experience with fire protection engineering and design for buildings or industrial plants.
• Ability to work with Revit and Navisworks for BIM modelling and coordination.
• Knowledge of applicable fire protection codes and standards, including Korean fire codes and NFPA standards.

Nice to have

• Engineering major.
• Proficiency in English or another foreign language and experience with overseas or international projects.
• Firefighting Equipment Technician Certification in the mechanical field.
• Firefighting Equipment Technician Certification in the electrical field.
