Go Architect / Solution Architect (Go)

Location: Remote, based in Baku, Azerbaijan

What you will do

• Design and evolve scalable, high-performance distributed systems in Go.
• Select concurrency models and balance performance, resilience, and maintainability.
• Translate business goals into technical plans and delivery roadmaps with Product Managers.
• Identify edge cases, risks, and technical constraints during planning.
• Represent engineering in discussions with external stakeholders and explain technical decisions in business-oriented terms.
• Lead code reviews and improve CI/CD pipelines and engineering processes.

Requirements

• 7+ years of software development experience, including 4+ years of production experience with Go.
• Deep knowledge of goroutines, channels, context, the Go memory model, and concurrency patterns.
• Experience designing distributed, microservice-based, and high-load systems, including REST or gRPC API versioning and backward compatibility.
• Strong understanding of relational databases, message brokers, event-driven architecture, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, observability, security, and fault tolerance.
• Experience with AI implementation and configuration within a team, plus experience in fintech, banking, or other regulated domains.
• Higher education in Computer Science or software development and Advanced English or higher.

Nice to have

• Experience with NoSQL databases, Redis, cloud platforms, DDD, SRE practices, or AI/LLM production integrations.
• Previous Architect, Staff Engineer, or Principal Engineer experience.
• Open-source Go contributions, relevant cloud certifications, or familiarity with Java, Python, or C++.
