Senior Java Software Engineer (Semiconductor)

Location: Rehovot, Israel; onsite

What you will do

• Initiate, design, and develop software for the next generation defect detection product.
• Design and implement complex software architectures for high-performance, large-scale distributed systems in a Linux environment.
• Make technical decisions and ensure application scalability and performance.
• Design, prototype, develop, and debug software for semiconductor equipment components and devices.
• Create software documentation and test procedures, troubleshoot software issues, and communicate with internal customers about project requirements.
• Contribute to launching an innovative semiconductor inspection product.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or software engineering.
• 5+ years of related experience.
• Proficiency and experience in Java, networking principles, and multithreading.
• Experience developing on Linux with Docker containers and Kubernetes.
• Ability to design and implement complex software architectures, not just write code.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
• Good collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively with a team.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in Python.
• Experience working with high-volume data.
• Experience with inter-process communication.
• Master’s degree in a related field.
• Leadership skills to lead small projects as needed.
