xEngineer Team Lead (Backend Oriented) for Viewer

Location: Tel Aviv; fully in person, 5 days a week from the office.

What you will do

• Lead the team managing Wix public traffic exceeding 1 million requests per minute.
• Lead development of infrastructure and Scala and Node.js services responsible for rendering more than 250 million Wix sites.
• Provide technical leadership through coaching and mentorship.
• Design, develop, and lead major features while maintaining software quality and production excellence.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to plan, design, develop, test, and maintain features.
• Identify improvement opportunities and solve complex business-flow problems with creative solutions.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience managing backend engineers.
• Proven expertise in designing scalable, distributed, and efficient systems.
• Passion for building high-quality software and ensuring production excellence.
• Excellent communication skills to support thousands of engineers and foster collaboration.
• Proactive attitude and eagerness to understand the reasons behind processes.
