Medical Assistant - Oak Lawn, IL (32 hours/week with benefits & PTO)

Location: Oak Lawn, Illinois, United States; onsite clinic role

Pay range: $21.00–$25.00 per hour

What you will do

• Escort patients, prepare exam rooms, and maintain clinical supplies and equipment.
• Review patient information, collect updates, and record accurate data in medical records.
• Take vital signs, perform blood draws, administer injections and immunizations, bandage wounds, and assist with procedures.
• Prepare and administer approved medications under provider direction and written orders.
• Schedule patients, handle check-in and check-out, process records, coordinate referrals, and arrange specialist visits.
• Process test results, conduct patient outreach, and collaborate on individual care plans and care-gap resolution.

Requirements

• At least one year of Medical Assistant experience, preferably in primary care.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant or related program.
• National or state-specific Medical Assistant certification or registration where required by state law.
• CPR/BLS certification required by the start date.
• Ability to perform both clinical Medical Assistant and medical receptionist responsibilities in an onsite clinic.

Nice to have

• Phlebotomy experience.
