Focus on coordinating complex medical and surgical scheduling, maintaining physician calendars, and ensuring pre-certification and pre-operative requirements are completed.

Location: Dallas, Texas, with required floating coverage across Dallas, Arlington, Irving, Midlothian, Southwest, Fort Worth, Mansfield, and Las Colinas. Full-time, onsite office work from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Reliable transportation is required.

What you will do

  • Schedule new, referred, and returning patient appointments, tests, surgeries, and hospital admissions.
  • Answer incoming calls, assess patient needs, route inquiries, and communicate messages to clinical staff.
  • Enter patient information, referrals, insurance authorizations, correspondence, coding, and documentation in scheduling systems and electronic medical records.
  • Maintain physician scheduling templates, including meetings, satellite schedules, rounding, and call coverage.
  • Collect copays, deductibles, and other out-of-pocket payments while arranging financial counseling when needed.
  • Coordinate pre-certification, pre-operative testing, patient preparation, and post-operative follow-up appointments.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Level II requires at least three years of office experience; Level Senior requires at least five years.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Ability to work in an office environment with prolonged computer use and regular contact with patients and the public.
  • Reliable transportation and availability to float among Dallas-Fort Worth regional clinic locations are required.

Nice to have

  • Medical office experience.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and coding; required for the Senior level.
