Oncology Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) (Oncology)

Location: Willowbrook clinic, Houston, Texas, United States; onsite clinical work in an oncology/hematology environment.

What you will do

• Plan, implement, coordinate, and evaluate continuity of care for oncology patients.
• Assess patient health status, medical history, and patient and family needs.
• Provide patient education, instructional materials, and psychosocial support.
• Manage medication refill requests, triage patient calls, and document information in patient charts.
• Schedule consultations, diagnostic tests, procedures, referrals, and follow-up appointments.
• Coordinate communication with families and interdisciplinary teams and support LPN/LVNs and medical assistants.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited professional nursing program; BSN preferred.
• Current RN state license and registration with the State Board of Nursing in the practicing state.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and ongoing continuing education.
• Level I: 0–3 years of nursing experience; oncology experience strongly preferred.
• Level II: at least 3 years of nursing experience.
• Senior level: at least 5 years of nursing experience, including at least 1 year in oncology; oncology certification preferred.
