Sr. Manager, Revenue Cycle (Healthcare Revenue Cycle): Managing end-to-end patient revenue cycle operations for a community oncology surgery department with an accent on billing, collections, claims management, compliance, and team leadership. Focus on optimizing revenue cycle processes, analyzing reimbursement and medical cost data, closing performance gaps, and developing staff and operational strategies.

Location: Richardson, Texas; on-site at 3001 E. President George Bush Highway, Suite 100. Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., with occasional travel by air or automobile.

Texas Oncology is a large community oncology provider with more than 600 providers across over 220 sites in Texas and southeastern Oklahoma, delivering evidence-based cancer care.

What you will do

  • Manage revenue cycle operations from patient entry through accurate account adjudication, including registration, authorization, coding, billing, collections, claims, and accounts receivable.
  • Lead a large team of direct and indirect reports, including hiring, onboarding, coaching, performance management, and staff development.
  • Develop and implement short- and long-term strategies, policies, procedures, budgets, and process improvements aligned with regulatory and business requirements.
  • Monitor revenue cycle metrics, aged accounts, audits, reimbursement programs, payer performance, vendors, and medical cost data.
  • Collaborate with physicians, practice management, and the regional business office to improve service quality, accuracy, compliance, and financial outcomes.
  • Serve as a super user for the practice management system, support system updates, and lead revenue cycle task teams when required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or an equivalent qualification, or eight years of revenue cycle management experience.
  • At least four years of medical revenue cycle management experience, two years of supervisory experience, and more than nine years of overall revenue cycle experience.
  • Strong knowledge of medical insurance billing and collections, CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS coding, medical terminology, and managed care products such as HMO and PPO plans.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work on-site in Richardson, Texas and interact regularly with management, staff, auditors, and clients.

Nice to have

  • Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification.
  • Knowledge of IDX and oncology billing.
