Salary: $126,100–$204,732.50 per year

What you will do

  • Manage inpatient care for hematologic, bone marrow transplant, solid tumor oncology, and elective chemotherapy patients in collaboration with supervising physicians and care teams.
  • Examine patients, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and document admission, discharge, progress, and examination notes.
  • Prescribe medications and therapy and perform procedures within Dana-Farber privileges.
  • Coordinate care among attending physicians, consultants, nurses, social workers, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Participate in quality improvement, patient safety initiatives, and student precepting after completing required training.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree and completion of an AAPA/NCCPA-accredited Physician Assistant Studies program.
  • NCCPA certification and an active Massachusetts Physician Assistant license.
  • Current DEA and Massachusetts Controlled Substance Licenses.
  • Expert knowledge of general medicine; experience or exposure to hematology/oncology and inpatient medicine is preferred.
  • Strong clinical judgment, communication, documentation, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Complete 100 hours of CME every two years in accordance with national and state regulations.
