Founding Engineer

Location: On-site in San Francisco, United States

Salary: $130,000–$160,000 USD annually

hirify.global is a consumer health and wellness startup developing a membership platform, consumer applications, and internal operational tools.

What you will do

• Build and launch a consumer membership web application using Shopify and Recharge, then maintain and improve it.
• Optimize storefront page speed, application performance, bundle size, and third-party script behavior.
• Own engineering architecture, technology and database decisions, security, vendor selection, and privacy tooling.
• Lead development of an iOS-first consumer React Native application from the ground up.
• Build production LLM-powered agents and internal tools with evaluations, monitoring, and human-in-the-loop safeguards.
• Work directly with the CEO on high-priority product and infrastructure problems while using AI, automation, and low-code tools to reduce manual work.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience shipping full-stack consumer products to production; 5–10 or more years of overall experience is preferred.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and React, with production applications to demonstrate.
• Proficiency in Python or Node and experience shipping reliable code quickly.
• Hands-on experience with Shopify and Recharge integrations.
• Experience building and shipping consumer-facing React Native applications with an iOS-first focus.
• Experience with web performance optimization, architecture, databases, security, privacy compliance, LLM agents, and AI automation tools.

Nice to have

• 5–10 or more years of overall software engineering experience.
• Degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, or equivalent demonstrated experience shipping software products.
