Founding Engineer (AI) (Fullstack/AI): Developing Kindroid's platform and greenfield applications across frontend, backend, databases, infrastructure, and AI with an accent on fine-tuning pipelines and GPU cluster maintenance. Focus on architecting software systems, refactoring existing codebases, debugging complex application issues, and collaborating with customers, design, and product.

Location: San Francisco Bay Area, California, United States; telecommuting permitted up to 60%

Salary: $200,000–$300,000 per year; significant equity included

What you will do

Develop the platform across frontend, backend, databases, and infrastructure.
Build new greenfield applications from scratch.
Maintain, refactor, and restructure the existing codebase.
Develop fine-tuning pipelines and maintain GPU clusters.
Learn and apply AI technologies to engineering work.
Interface with customers to debug and resolve application issues.

Requirements

At least three years of experience in the offered position or a related occupation.
Rigorous engineering experience at top startups or corporations.
Experience with multiple programming languages.
Experience building greenfield applications, maintaining existing applications, and refactoring codebases.
Strong debugging skills, including tracing complex console logs and stack traces.
Experience architecting software systems and databases and collaborating with design and product during handoff.
