Location: New Haven, Connecticut; territory covers Danbury and Waterbury, Connecticut. Relocation is not offered. The role requires approximately 20–30% travel, including some overnight and weekend commitments.
Salary: $145,311–$196,597 annual base salary for Account Manager Level 4; $158,931–$215,025 annual base salary for Specialty Account Manager Level 5.

What you will do
- Represent products to physicians and healthcare professionals and establish product sales across the assigned territory.
- Provide disease information and product education to healthcare professionals and other customers involved in patient care.
- Execute strategic account business plans and achieve assigned sales objectives while following compliance requirements.
- Identify opportunities across academic institutions, integrated delivery networks, accountable care organizations, private practices, and community hospitals.
- Build relationships with local, regional, and national key opinion leaders in rare disease and related therapeutic areas.
- Collaborate with case management, medical affairs, patient access, market access, reimbursement, and other cross-functional partners.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of relevant pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, or hospital sales experience for Account Manager Level 4, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- For Specialty Account Manager Level 5: doctorate degree and 2 years, master’s degree and 6 years, bachelor’s degree and 8 years, or associate degree and 10 years of account management, sales, and commercial experience.
- Experience in biotech, specialty pharmaceutical, rare disease, or rare-disease product sales; rare-disease launch experience is strongly preferred.
- Experience with in-office injection or infusion products requiring coordination with patient access services.
- Strong clinical and scientific knowledge, communication, organizational, analytical, interpersonal, and computer skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

- Nephrology experience.
- Ultra-orphan disease experience.
- Graduate business or healthcare-related degree.
- Market development, deep profiling, and experience educating healthcare professionals about complex diseases.
