Manufacturing Process Engineer (Lean Manufacturing)

Location: Manufacturing site serving the Altoona and Johnstown markets; on-site work in a manufacturing environment.

Salary: $81,000–$122,000 annually, plus performance-related bonus potential.

What you will do

• Develop Lean systems and continuous improvement initiatives to improve production and operational efficiency.
• Monitor manufacturing processes, identify inefficiencies, and implement process improvements.
• Analyze data and create standard operating procedures, guidelines, reports, and performance outputs.
• Design, document, and implement technical and system-based solutions, including diagrams, flowcharts, and system layouts.
• Support third-party software implementation, systems integration, and user training.
• Design and implement KPI and OEE monitoring systems while collaborating with Operations, Engineering, IT, and leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline is preferred.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment and with process improvement.
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, data analysis, process mapping, and problem-solving methods.
• Experience with software systems, ERP platforms, systems implementation, or systems integration.
• Strong analytical, statistical, mathematical, communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with C#, PHP, AngularJS, SQL, or PLCs is advantageous.
