Associate Director, Procurement Policy and Process (Pharmaceutical)

Location: Princeton, New Jersey, United States

Salary: $150,034–$224,250 annually, plus incentive opportunity.

What you will do

• Maintain and enhance procurement policies, procedures, approval workflows, delegation-of-authority thresholds, templates, playbooks, and control mechanisms.
• Optimize the end-to-end Source to Pay process, including sourcing, contracting, purchasing, supplier management, and procurement compliance.
• Partner with Sourcing, Finance, Technology, Legal, Compliance, Information Security, Quality, and business stakeholders on procurement governance and process improvements.
• Define procurement platform requirements, workflows, controls, master-data standards, audit trails, and system enhancement business cases.
• Develop KPIs, dashboards, monthly success metrics, and advanced analytics for spend, supplier performance, cycle times, and savings.
• Support automation, Generative AI adoption, change management, training, audits, and process integrations across affiliated companies and acquisitions.

Requirements

• 8+ years of diverse procurement experience, including procurement operations and process management.
• Deep knowledge of Source to Pay processes, strategic sourcing, ERP systems, procurement analytics, and operational excellence.
• Knowledge of procurement compliance, risk management, regulatory requirements, and taxability of goods and services in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Experience with procurement technology platforms, including SAP Ariba.
• Strong analytical, stakeholder management, communication, training, strategic thinking, and change leadership skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a relevant field; MBA or MS preferred.
