Project Controls Specialist II

Location: Onsite at the Cayuga Combined Cycle Project in Vermillion County, Indiana, United States. The role requires field work at the project site, with minimal travel away from the site; travel is expected to be 5–15%. Relocation assistance is available.

What you will do

• Generate, validate, distribute, and archive periodic project controls analytics.
• Track, analyze, approve, and document changes to project scope, schedule, and cost.
• Support project managers with work breakdown structures, schedules, cost estimates, cash flow reports, and project status reporting.
• Perform variance, earned value, critical path, forecasting, risk, and cost analyses.
• Create and maintain project estimates covering materials, labor, equipment, and current industry data.
• Coordinate project controls data with field and home-office staff and support onsite project meetings.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in engineering, project or construction management, finance, accounting, business, or a related field plus 2 or more years of related experience; alternatively, a high school diploma/GED plus 5 or more years of related experience.
• Experience with project controls processes, including accruals, invoicing, cost analysis, forecasting, risk management, and change control.
• Knowledge of project management and project controls concepts, scheduling software, financial tools, spreadsheets, and analytics.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including macros, pivot tables, advanced formulas, and data analysis functions.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to work lawfully in the United States without employment-based immigration sponsorship.
• Ability to work onsite at the Vermillion County project site and collaborate with field, home-office, vendor, and project teams.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, project or construction management, finance, accounting, business, or a related field plus 3 or more years of related experience.
• Construction field experience and project management or project controls certifications from PMI, AACEi, or CMAA.
• Experience with MS Project, Primavera, Business Objects, Passport, Powerplant, Emax, PeopleSoft, EcoSys, Maximo, PowerPlan, Riskconnect, Deltek Acumen, or Monte Carlo analysis tools.
