Test Specialist (Defence)

Location: Chippenham, United Kingdom. Hybrid 3 together, 2 wherever model: attendance at the contractual location is required 3 days per week, with 2 flexible days.

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end testing across complex defence projects and develop test strategies.
• Validate solutions against customer and contractual requirements.
• Create and maintain test strategies, plans, cases, defect reports, progress reports, and completion reports using IBM ELM.
• Execute testing across BT, customer, and supplier environments while identifying and managing defects.
• Manage multiple project deliveries and promote testing governance, compliance, and continuous improvement.
• Mentor junior testers and resolve complex testing challenges for mission-critical services.

Requirements

• Senior-level experience with test management, delivery, and testing methodologies.
• Strong understanding of the defence industry and defence contracts.
• Experience creating and managing test strategies, plans, cases, defect reports, and completion reports.
• Ability to interpret network and solution design documentation, derive test cases, perform risk-based testing, and validate complex technical solutions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience engaging project teams, architects, customers, and technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work from the Chippenham contractual location 3 days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience coaching junior testers and improving testing processes, tools, and quality practices.
