Test Manager (SATCOM)

Location: Portsmouth, United Kingdom; hybrid working with occasional customer-site travel for several weeks at a time, depending on project and customer needs. Eligibility to gain UK SC Security Clearance is required.

What you will do

• Manage end-to-end systems testing for SATCOM projects covering ground segments, ground stations, modems, and user terminals.
• Define and maintain test, verification, and validation strategies and plans.
• Lead testing activities from research and development through customer acceptance.
• Champion customer requirements and testing teams while managing delivery against time, cost, and quality objectives.
• Train test and non-test engineers on rigorous requirements-based testing.
• Use lessons learned and engineering developments to improve testing, reduce risks, and increase product quality.

Requirements

• Eligibility to gain UK SC Security Clearance
• Experience with installation, verification, and validation; test stubs and drivers; and top-down and bottom-up integration testing.
• Experience testing hardware, firmware, and software together.
• Domain experience in SATCOM, ground segments, ground stations, modems, or user terminals.
• Ability to support customer-site acceptance testing and travel several times a year when required.
