Test Manager (SATCOM)

Location: Portsmouth, United Kingdom; hybrid working. Travel to customer sites may be required a couple of times per year for several weeks.

What you will do

• Manage end-to-end systems testing for SATCOM projects from R&D through customer acceptance.
• Define and maintain test, verification, and validation strategies and plans.
• Champion customer requirements and testing teams while ensuring delivery on time, cost, and quality.
• Coordinate acceptance testing, including testing at customer sites.
• Train testers and other engineers in rigorous, requirements-based testing.
• Improve engineering and testing practices through technological developments, lessons learned, and feedback.

Requirements

• Eligibility to gain UK SC Security Clearance.
• Experience testing at least one of the following: SATCOM, ground segments, ground stations, modems, or user terminals.
• Experience testing hardware, firmware, and software, including how they interact.
• Familiarity with Installation, Verification, and Validation, test stubs, test drivers, and top-down or bottom-up integration testing.
• Ability to manage testing from defect detection and resolution through final acceptance.
