Group ICT Network & Security Project Specialist (Cybersecurity)

Location: Groot-Bijgaarden, Belgium; the role includes physical installations, computer-room maintenance, remote-site projects, and short business travel of 5–10 days once or twice per year.

What you will do

• Manage network and security projects from budgeting through implementation and follow-up.
• Provide L2/L3 support for wired and wireless networks, firewalls, load balancers, SD-WAN, and related security technologies.
• Install and configure Cisco switches, wireless infrastructure, firewalls, load-balancing systems, and new network equipment.
• Coordinate with WAN providers, architects, regional and local ICT teams to maintain reliable connectivity across more than 100 sites.
• Maintain technical documentation, design documents, monitoring systems, cabling standards, and computer rooms.
• Participate in a 24/7 standby rotation for critical incidents approximately once every eight weeks.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of relevant experience in LAN/WAN or security.
• Required knowledge of SD-WAN, firewalls, cloud proxy, Cisco wired and wireless technologies, TCP/IP, OSI layers 1–7, switching, routing, and troubleshooting.
• Experience managing network and security projects from budget phase to implementation and follow-up.
• Strong troubleshooting skills, hands-on approach, initiative, independence, and ability to work under stress.
• Dutch, French, and English required, with the main focus on English.
• Ability to communicate with colleagues, understand business needs, and prioritize critical work.

Nice to have

• Cisco Identity Services Engine, Cisco Nexus, F5 load balancers, Palo Alto or Sophos firewalls.
• CCNA, CCNP, Palo Alto, F5, or similar certifications.
• Azure network fundamentals, wireless standards, and monitoring systems such as NetFlow, real-time alerts, SNMP, and Syslog.
