EHS Coordinator (Automotive Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Administer and continuously improve environmental, health, and safety programs, policies, and procedures.
• Conduct safety inspections, audits, and workplace hazard assessments to support OSHA and company compliance.
• Investigate incidents, injuries, near misses, and unsafe conditions, identify root causes, and track corrective actions.
• Maintain OSHA logs, training records, incident reports, and environmental compliance documentation.
• Coordinate employee safety training, orientations, emergency drills, and incident response activities.
• Monitor safety metrics, prepare management reports, and partner with supervisors and employees to improve safe work practices.

Requirements

• University degree or associate's/bachelor's degree in environmental health and safety, occupational safety, environmental science, industrial technology, manufacturing, or a related field.
• At least two years of health and safety experience; 1–3 years in EHS, manufacturing operations, or a related field is listed.
• Working knowledge of OSHA standards and health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Experience with safety inspections, incident investigations, corrective action follow-up, and detailed compliance records.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; familiarity with Microsoft Access and other appropriate software.
• Ability to regularly walk production areas, conduct inspections, work onsite in a manufacturing environment, and respond appropriately to workplace medical emergencies.

Nice to have

• Experience in automotive or manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of environmental compliance reporting.
• Familiarity with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems.
• OSHA 10-Hour or OSHA 30-Hour certification.
