EHS Engineer

Location: On-site in Lodi, California, United States. Up to 5% domestic and international travel may be required.

Annual salary: $90,000–$110,000, plus eligibility for bonus or incentive pay.

What you will do

• Implement and maintain site environmental, health, and safety compliance programs and management systems.
• Assess workplace risks, monitor occupational exposures, and develop corrective actions and injury-prevention strategies.
• Lead or support EHS projects, site inspections, incident investigations, corrective-action closure, and emergency preparedness activities.
• Interpret federal, state, and local EHS requirements, conduct regulatory audits, and deliver site-specific safety and environmental training.
• Support programs covering hazardous materials, hazardous waste, life safety, spill prevention, chemical inventory, energy, waste reduction, and water stewardship.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of experience, or a relevant master’s degree with 0+ years of experience.
• Working knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety requirements.
• Ability to solve complex problems, assess risk, and develop practical corrective actions.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills across all organizational levels.
• Proficiency in Excel and data analysis, with working knowledge of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
• Ability to lift, move, or carry equipment up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods while performing repetitive arm and wrist motions.

Nice to have

• Experience implementing EHS programs in manufacturing, laboratory, or regulated environments.
• Experience with project management, EHS data management and analysis, and influencing cross-functional stakeholders.
