General Manager (AI)

Location: San Francisco office with an office-centric hybrid schedule; in-office days are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Wednesday work-from-home is generally available, while Friday flexibility depends on the role and partner teams.

Salary: $399,000–$450,000 annual base salary, plus potential equity, sales incentive pay where applicable, and benefits.

What you will do

• Define and communicate the strategy and roadmap for Command within Asana’s product portfolio.
• Own the business plan and metrics covering adoption, retention, engagement, and commercial expansion.
• Build and lead a customer-centric organization across Product, Engineering, Design, Data Science, User Research, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success.
• Drive product quality, performance, and developer trust in partnership with Engineering and Design.
• Define differentiated technical-team workflows using AI Teammates and the Enterprise Work Graph.
• Establish go-to-market positioning, packaging, and enterprise proof points.

Requirements

• Experience as a GM, product executive, founder, or equivalent leader with ownership of a product line or business.
• Deep familiarity with software development workflows, including planning, issue or ticket management, source control, code review, CI/CD, release management, or engineering operations.
• Experience building products for individual practitioners and enterprise buyers, and scaling a product from early product-market fit toward repeatable enterprise growth.
• Experience applying AI to customer workflows involving durable context, collaboration, governance, and accountability.
• Experience navigating portfolio-level trade-offs in a multi-product platform company.
• Strong product judgment, cross-functional influence, leadership development, operating-system design, and executive communication skills.
