What you will do
- Manage supplier quality performance and KPIs using supplier quality tools and resources.
- Guide suppliers on quality expectations and objectives.
- Support new product introduction and global sourcing PPAP projects.
- Conduct new supplier risk assessments and supplier quality audits.
- Lead PPAP, Supplier Corrective Action Request, Safe Launch Plan, and Contained Shipping activities.
- Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions using 8D methodologies in collaboration with suppliers, production, engineering, and global sourcing teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
- At least 3 years of quality assurance experience in a plant or supplier quality role.
- At least 1 year of experience with PPAP, APQP, control plans, PFMEA, and ISO quality management systems.
- Foreign language proficiency is required based on the assigned region.
- Ability to travel domestically and globally up to 35%.
- Knowledge of manufacturing and quality metrics, lean principles, problem-solving, collaboration, communication, and Microsoft Office.
Nice to have
- Certified Quality Engineer, Six Sigma Yellow or Green Belt, or Certified Supplier Quality Auditor certification.
- Experience with international companies and matrix organizations.
- Experience with SAP or another ERP system, ETQ QMS, and Ariba.
