What you will do

  • Teach complex adult health and critical care clinical content within the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program.
  • Plan clinical experiences and directly supervise students delivering nursing care.
  • Evaluate student performance and provide documented feedback based on course objectives.
  • Develop clinical assignments aligned with student knowledge, competencies, and learning needs.
  • Grade written coursework, assessments, lab assignments, and clinical documentation.
  • Coordinate with course leadership and clinical agencies regarding student and placement issues.

Requirements

  • Master’s or doctoral degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited institution.
  • Unencumbered registered nursing license in Delaware.
  • At least two years of recent professional registered nursing experience within the last five years in the area of instruction.
  • Illinois RN license is required to teach all courses; assignments are prioritized for professors currently licensed in Illinois.
  • Strong nursing subject-matter expertise and written and verbal communication skills.
  • Teaching or precepting experience is preferred but not required.
