Mechanical Engineer - Nuclear

Location: Onsite in Tonopah, Arizona, at Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station

Salary: $114,960–$172,440 per year

What you will do

• Lead mechanical engineering and design activities for multiple complex EPCm projects.
• Develop conceptual and detailed mechanical designs, equipment specifications, data sheets, and equipment lists.
• Evaluate design alternatives for constructability, performance, reliability, maintainability, cost, and environmental considerations.
• Manage mechanical scope changes, work plans, staffing estimates, schedules, budgets, and project deliverables.
• Coordinate with civil, electrical, process, construction, vendor, subcontractor, client, and site teams.
• Review and approve engineering drawings, calculations, and technical specifications; apply a PE stamp when authorized.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive mechanical engineering experience.
• At least 6 years of direct EPCm industry experience.
• Experience developing specifications for mechanical equipment and integrated equipment skids.
• Experience with vendor management, equipment cost estimating, multidisciplinary coordination, and technical documentation.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks or equivalent CAD software, Microsoft Office, analytical problem-solving, and written and spoken English.
